Multiplayer Trailer for Call of Duty:Black Ops

http://xbox360.ign.com/dor/objects/14349501/call-of-duty-treyarch-project/videos/cod_blackops_trl_multi_080910.html
This is looking really good so far! Treyarch is stepping their game up and the video shows for it. Here are a few new changes noticed from the trailer starting from the beginning.

1. Camera-Looks like it may be a killstreak reward that can target enemy movement as you see in the trailer where you can locate enemy forces and get the jump on them.
2. Crossbow-I'm going to love this weapon as will everyone else. The explosive arrows is sure to give some awesome kills and rewarding multi-player moments.
3. Knives-The video was going by too fast, but it looked like he shot a blade out of his knife and reloaded. And it looked like he had akimbo knives as well. I could be completely off but that's what I got from it.
4. Explosive Remote Controlled Car-If you ever played Frontline:Fuel of War you will love this killstreak. Basically you control a remote controlled car and detonate whenever you cross an enemy. And looks like you only need a 3 kill streak to get it.
5. Missiles-After the sniper gets a headshot while reloading he gets killed by an incoming missile. Question is, is it the predator missile or something that you can control while having an air strike.
6. Segment Saver-Finally we can save our best kills and show them off. I've been waiting for this since for a long time. Hopefully everyone can view other top kills with numerous players posting videos on youtube.

More information will be released on September 1st.

Month of September

September looks to be an interesting and a very good month for movies.

September 1st
"The American" Doesn't have as much action as I thought it would, but should still be a decent movie. George Clooney has been in many good movies the past couple of years. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ywmoXZwkA0

September 3rd
"Machete" One of the biggest releases of the year is aiming to become an instant classic amongst viewers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8rslIZV85U

September 10
"Resident Evil: Afterlife" Personally I won't see this movie but looks like it will have some cool 3-D effects. Following should be decent with die-hard fans so we'll see what happens when it releases. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9dc5iiT0f1s

"I'm Still Here" No trailer is out right now but the documentary on the career path change to rap music for actor Joaquin Phoenix has many wondering. Was the whole move a stunt for the documentary or was Phoenix actually wanting to try rap music. Many are guessing a stunt, but hopefully Phoenix decides try acting again, because he was one of the best when he left.

September 17
"The Town" This is the movie in September I'm looking forward to the most. From the same people that brought us "The Departed" and "Gone Baby Gone," "The Town" is another Boston area crime thriller. Movie has a great cast and could be one of the sleeper hits of the year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWxEKnf3Krk

September 24
"Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps" The sequel to the 80's classic Wall Street, has the return of Gordon Gekko looking to restore his vast empire and wealth. Should have a decent showing at the Box Office. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rS0PJSKJoxw

"Buried" I think this movie is going to become an instant classic. The premise is simple but it looks like a classic Hitchcock movie. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZVKDsOxCyU

Predictions

Instant Classics="Machete" and "Buried"

Personally Looking Forward Most To="The Town"

Most Overrated="Resident Evil: Afterlife"

Most Intriguing="I'm Still Here"

Prediction for the Future:Batman 3

All of us are very excited for the next installment of the Batman franchise but here are some predictions of what might come from Batman 3.

1. It will be the last Batman movie for Christian Bale and Christopher Nolan. Both are powerhouses in the movie business and like to expand beyond one franchise. I see Nolan and Bale putting everything on the line for this last installment for the two. Only question is who replaces Bale and Nolan if indeed Batman 3 is their last one.

2. Who plays the Riddler? For awhile now rumors have pointed that the Riddler will be the main villian in the next installment of Batman. Question is who will play the part of the Riddler? My guess would be Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who recently was in "Inception." Rumors have already flown around that he is the choice to play the Riddler, and I would have to agree. Levitt is a good actor and more than likely has proven to Nolan that he can hold his own with big name actors.

3. Hopefully there is no Robin or Dick Grayson. Many fans have expressed that Robin should not be near the new Batman movies and I'm on the same boat. I think if they bring in something like Robin or Grayson they should use Nightwing but just skip the whole training and sidekick plot-line and just use him as an outcast who competes or in some cases works against Batman.

Batman 3 won't be released for another couple of years so all the these predictions could be way off target, but all of us won't have to wait like for confirmation on what's going down for the third movie.

New Trailer:TRON Legacy

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFEbY9Q8dBE

This movie keeps looking better. Leave your thoughts and comments on the movie.

Best Sports Movies by Individual Sports

I decided to compile a list of the greatest sports movies, not necessarily in order but the best movies for each individual sport.

Football

-Any Given Sunday
-Brian's Song
-Rudy
-Remember the Titans
-The Longest Yard (1974)

Football movies in my opinion are the best overall from any other sports. They consistently release classic movies that can not only make you laugh, but inspire more than any other sports movies out there.

Baseball
-Major League
-Field of Dreams
-Bull Durham
-The Natural
-A League of Their Own

It's been awhile since a good baseball movie has been released but the ones on the list will probably never be taken off this list since all are considered some of the greatest sports movies released.

Basketball
-White Men Can't Jump
-Hoosiers
-Hoop Dreams
-Coach Carter
-Glory Road

Personally I consider "Hoosiers" to be the best sports movie ever made, but the other basketball movies have been very good as well.

Golf

-Caddyshack
-Tin Cup
-Happy Gilmore

Golf movies are very good as well with "Caddyshack" being the favorite amongst most viewers as the best golf movie and one of the best comedies ever released.

Boxing

-Raging Bull
-Rocky
-The Hurricane
-Cinderella Man
-Million Dollar Baby

Almost every boxing movie ever made has turned into an instant classic (except Rocky V).

Hockey
-Miracle
-Slap Shot
-Mighty Ducks

Not many Hockey movies have been made, but when they are they usually are pretty good. "Miracle" is the only one that is based on a true story, but "Slap Shot" remains one of the funniest and best sports movies out there.

Misc.
-Breaking Away
-The Hustler
-Kingpin
-The Wrestler
-Rounders
-Search for Bobby Fischer
-Vision Quest
-Chariots of Fire

Many sports movies have also been made for the sports that don't receive as much focus in society. You got two great wrestling movies high school wrestling is focused in "Vision Quest" while "The Wrestler" is based on professional wrestling and sports entertainment. Bowling hasn't received the Hollywood treatment very often but "Kingpin" is the first and probably only good bowling movie you will see. The classic "Hustler" with Paul Newman and Jackie Gleason remains the best and one of the only billiards movies out there, which even led to a somewhat sequel in "The Color of Money."

Trailer Release: Due Date

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTFf9qNYQPA

Looks like this is goin to be a good one this fall; release date is set for November 5. Let us know what you think.

How Christopher Nolan can Impact the 007 Franchise

As many of you may have heard by now the famous director has expressed interest in one day directing a James Bond movie. With the near release of Inception upon us which is already receiving great reviews and a comparison to a mix of James Bond and the Matrix, he could be what the 007 franchise needs to get back on its feet. MGM Studios pushed back the next Bond film to a possible 2014 release due to financial troubles. This leaves a perfect opportunity for Nolan to direct the next Batman film, then possibly move to a James Bond movie.
Many out there can agree that the last Bond movie Quantom of Solace was not the best movie it could have been mainly due to a lacking plot line and lack of a great villian. The franchise more than likely cannot afford to have two lackluster movies in a row. Daniel Craig still is a great Bond, started off great with Casino Royale and no matter what the story is will still provide a great performance. With a great director and writer if Christopher Nolan wanted to create his own Bond screenplay providing the franchise with a great vision to revive the series. Plus it helps that Christopher Nolan has never made a bad film yet and probably never will because he is the best director in the business right now.
If Inception can make a great showing at the box office which is definately possible MGM should make a move to make this a reality. Releasing the next Bond after Batman 3, which will probably be one of the biggest box offices in history can only make the next Bond film that much bigger.
Overall Christopher Nolan will bring more story, bigger box office numbers, and momentum for the future of James Bond movies. Hopefully MGM makes their move soon before someone else signs him for directing a different movie.

NCAA 11 Review

For those of us waiting for college football to begin NCAA football video games are a great way to kill time before the season kicks off. NCAA 11 the latest release has shown some progress in the gameplay area to make the overall game a better experience. The overall look is much better than many years before and the gameplay animation runs smoother than ever, as well integrated ESPN presentation. Another great feature is the playbooks for each team, which offers newer and unique plays depending on the schools offensive scheme. Basic play calling gives you a few plays to choose from as if a coach was calling the plays letting you choose the best one for the situation. NCAA 11 is probably the best in gameplay we've seen in a long time and finally has peaked and seperates itself from Madden.
Game modes are a different story. Single players dynasty and Road to Glory Mode are pretty much identical to years past. Don't expect to see any new groundbreaking material, but if you've liked the past modes then this really isn't much to worry about. Online Dynasty however will be the highlight if you can find enough friends to start one. With computer and mobile access you can now be fully emersed into your team with recruiting and smack talking, while creating your own unique headlines to showcase your season.
Overall, if you love playing Online Dynasty and don't mind that single player modes remain the same then you want to pick up this game. NCAA 11 is an improvement from last year and hopefully from years to come we can see more from single player modes and even more improvement to gameplay. I give this game an 8/10
Bold
Idea for the Future
For our first video game review we'll offer a unique spin and offer our views on what can make the game even better.
As earlier mentioned the single player modes need something new to bring to the table so I've envisioned this: New School Mode
In this mode you play the athletic director, coach, and players. Using the current team builder you create a new school, locate it, and start off as an independent team. You hire the coaches, start off with a simple recruiting class, get walk-on players, and customize the stadium. You also set ticket and concession prices which can lead to stadium upgrades, expansions, etc. Like in regular dynasty you set your own schedule, do the recruiting, play the games, earn prestige, etc. Obviously as you grow as a school win championships if successful bring in more recruits and hopefully earn access to a major conference and earn part of a TV contract. I know you can do some of this stuff in regular dynasty, but they could add presentation features that make it a unique story as with they did with Road to Glory. This mode gives you full access over your school to lead them to glory.

Biggest Upcoming Movie Releases in 2010

Inception-7/16/10
-Probably the biggest movie of the summer if not the entire year, it will release this friday and critics are already raving about the new Christopher Nolan movie with a great cast. The plot-line has not been revealed too much to keep viewers even more excited to see it. Dicaprio will likely be regarded as the most successful actor of the year after Shutter Island and Inception. We will review this movie after it's release but more than likely will receive a perfect score. Trailer http://www.youtube.com/inception#p/f/7/xitHF0IPJSQ

The Other Guys-8/6/2010
-Adam McKay helms which is sure to be another great comedy starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg. The Other Guys is a buddy cop film which also stars Samuel L Jackson, Dwayne Johnson, and Michael Keaton. Should be interesting to see how well matching up Ferrell and a first time comedic performance from Wahlberg. Trailer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6WOoUG1eNo

The Expendables-8/13/2010
-The greatest action movie cast of all-time is sure to make this movie a hit. If you are an action movie buff you are required to watch this movie, it might as well be a law. You got Stallone, Statham, Li, Couture, Crews, Rourke, Willis, Schwarzennegar, etc times 10. This movie is sure to have awesome stunts, explosions, action, more explosions, fights. Machete-9/3/2010
-Danny Trejo leads an all-star cast that also includes Jessica Alba and Robert DeNiro in the new action movie Machete. Trailer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rS0PJSKJoxw

Paranormal Activity 2-10/22/10
-Sure to be just as profitable as the first one and sure to scare the crap out of everybody. This is the biggest horrow movie of the year for most horror flick fans. With a release date close to Halloween expect to see big box office numbers and more than likely it becoming the next Saw with yearly releases as long as it remains profitable. Trailer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0inziW_V88

Due Date-11/5/2010
-The follow up to Todd Phillips successful comedy The Hangover, Due Date looks to be just as well received this fall. With a great cast starring Robert Downey Jr, as a father looking to make his child's birth hitches a ride with the always hilarious Zach Galifinakis who plays an aspiring actor. Both actors are big names to so look for this movie to have a great opening weeked as well as being one of the best comedies this year. No trailer has been released.

Harry Potter- 11/19/2010
-Not a fany of Harry Potter, but it's going to put up huge box office numbers.

TRON Legacy-12/17/2010
-To wrap up the year the sequel to the 80's cult classic TRON, is sure to be a well received movie. The special effects look great so far and with a cast including Jeff Bridges, Michael Sheen, Olivia Wilde, and rising actor Garrett Hedlund

Predators Review

I went to see this movie with very low expectations, and to be honest, it was better than I expected. The story was pretty predictable, but at least it kept you interested and didn't try too hard to connect itself to the past Predator or versus movies. Adrien Brody did manage to give this movie a more serious feeling, though it felt like it was getting a little ridiculous at times. This movie brings in a lot of new things, and though the acting could have been better, this is still a vast improvement from the previous Predator movies. So my personal recommendation is that this is definitely a movie worth seeing.

7/10

The Top Five Actors of the 80's

Me and my friend were recently discussing who were the best actors of the 80's, and after hashing out a few differences in taste, here is what we came up with.

1) Harrison Ford - Between Star Wars and Indiana Jones alone, no other actor came close to achieving what Harrison Ford did in the 80's, not to mention Blade Runner, which is one of the greatest sci-fi movies of all time.

2) Eddie Murphy - One of the greatest comedic actors of the 80's, there is no question that he deserves the #2 spot on this list. Beverly Hills Cop and Coming to America are just a couple examples of the many great comedies he made during the 80's.

3) Sylvester Stallone - The 80's were a good time for Stallone, whether you like him or not. The Rambo and Rocky series will always be remembered as some of the greatest movies of the 80's

4) Bill Murray - With great comedies like Caddyshack, Stripes, and Ghostbuster's under his belt, Bill Murray definitely deserves a spot on this list.

5) Tom Hanks - Though he may lack any really great movies in the 80's, his performances in Turner and Hooch, Big, and Bachelor Party are more than enough to earn him the #5 spot.
